From all over Europe, Europeana 1914-1918 has collected and digitalised thousands of exciting historical documents from the First World War.
Europeana Transcribe is a crowdsourcing initiative for the transcription of this unique, unpublished material. The aim is to create a vast and fully digital record of the written stories in Europeana 1914-1918.
But in order to achieve this, we need your help. As a volunteer transcriber, you hold the key to unlocking new secrets of the First World War and safeguarding these stories for future generations.
Diving in intimate accounts of the trenches, and trailing through letters from home to front, you join us in our Transcribathon – a race to Discover. Learn. Research. Use. Share.
Join the Love Letter Run by transcribing #WWILoveLetters! Read more about the project: http://transcribathon.com/en/transcribathon/ and http://transcribathon.com/en/transcribathon/featured/love-run/.
